Welcome from the head of our international school in Paris
It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to ICS Paris, our premium ICS international school in the City of Lights.
Established in 1954, our international school in Paris has constantly and harmoniously evolved over the years to always provide the very best to our students. Today, at a time of unprecedented social, economic, political and environmental change, we must ensure that our students develop skills and abilities beyond the purely academic. As educators we have an opportunity and responsibility to lay the foundations for a better future, which is key to our mission—to prepare each student to become a global citizen who can shape the world.
Our rich, Anglophone-based curriculums allow students to follow the following programs: the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme for our High School; the MYP curriculum for our Middle School with an IGCSE option; and the Cambridge and IPC curriculums for our Primary School.
We understand and celebrate the diversity of the academic and cultural backgrounds of our students, who come from over 70 different countries. We are thus able to welcome students with very limited, previous exposure to English or French for whom we offer special support programmes. Our small class sizes ensure that each child receives the support they need from their class teachers. In addition, our Special Educational Needs programme can be tailored to support an individual student’s different learning needs. Finally, in order to ensure our students take full advantage of their stay in France, we provide as part of our regular programme one of the highest number of contact hours in French amongst the Anglophone schools in France.
At our international school ICS Paris, students are given the space to be curious, to ask questions, and to develop their critical thinking skills. Project-based, hands-on learning at all levels allows our students to make cross-cultural and cross-curricular connections. Finding meaning in their learning means that our students are motivated, inquisitive learners.
We are continually developing our technological offering. In addition to the opening of a Fab Lab for our Middle School students in 2019, we have also implemented a one-to-one iPad programme for our students from Grade 5 to Grade 9, while maintaining a healthy and harmonious balance between face-to-face and digital learning.
Last but not least, we have a rolling admissions policy and are pleased to welcome students all year round.
Our ICS Paris team is looking forward to welcoming your family to our international school.
