A strong ethical foundation and outstanding academic results
The International Community School (ICS) London was founded in 1979 on fundamental principles of freedom, democracy, respect and international inclusion. Originally conceived as an English school for the children of overseas diplomats and business people working in London, ICS grew rapidly developing into a fully-fledged academic school.
In the mid-2000s International Community School introduced the International Baccalaureate into its curriculum, with a view to providing its students with a broad based, academically challenging international educational programme.
Today, ICS inspires students from 3 to 18 years old to become agile and independent thinkers, developing the passion, confidence and skills required for success in today’s global forum. The school has three locations in London: the primary premises is located at 7B Wyndham Place; the secondary site is at 21 Star Street; and the residential facility is at 89 Brown Street.
Achieving an average score of 34 points in the International Baccalaureate Diploma, the most prestigious universities in the world are accessible to ICS students. At all academic stages, even from the earliest years of education at ICS, the excellent teaching staff, cutting edge methodologies and great resources available to ICS students enable them to achieve results that are far above the international average.
ICS joined the Globeducate Group in 2017, and forms an integral part of Globeducate’s International Exchange Programme, participating fully in the international events organised by the group and welcoming students from all over the world to its residential summer school.
Uniting tradition with excellence

The school is a centre for educational innovation built upon the fundamental principle of education as a preparation for playing an active and successful role within the international community.

ICS Milan fosters a sense of discovery and cultural understanding via teaching methods that are designed to develop observational and research skills, critical thinking and independent learning.

ICS Milan is undergoing a phase of rapid expansion. In addition to the historic school sites at Via dei Fontanilli and Via Orti, in September 2018 a further primary school will open in Via Carlo Tenca in addition to the group’s first secondary school at the Via dei Fontanilli headquarters. ICS Milan will ultimately offer a fully international education to children aged from 0 to 18 at all curriculum stages from pre-school to pre-university.
ICS Milan joined the Globeducate group in 2017 extending its international credentials and taking advantage of all the events, activities and general benefits of belonging to an international educational group.
