Winter Wonderland 2025

Winter Wonderland 2025

The magic of the season arrived in full force today as our school was transformed into a glittering Winter Wonderland. From the moment students arrived, the halls were buzzing with holiday spirit, festive music, and a flurry of exciting activities that made for an unforgettable day.

A Spectacle of Talent and Music

The day was anchored by incredible performances that showcased the hard work and artistry of our students:

  • Grade 4 and 5 Winter Concert: Our young musicians and choir members filled the air with harmony. Led by Mrs. Downey and supported by Mr. Boucher, the students performed beautifully on their instruments. It’s hard to believe how much they’ve learned in such a short time—if this was the winter show, the Summer Concert is going to be spectacular!

  • Secondary Talent Show: The energy shifted to the big stage for the Secondary students, who blew the audience away with their diverse skills. From vocal solos to instrumental acts, the talent on display was truly inspiring.

Festive Activities & Holiday Magic

There was never a dull moment as students rotated through a variety of "cool" stations:

  • Santa’s Workshop: The most popular spot on campus! Students became busy elves, crafting beautiful decorations and festive keepsakes to take home.

  • Festivals of Light: A meaningful look at global traditions, where students learned about the significance of light in various cultural celebrations during the winter months.

  • Ballet Dance Class: Grace met the holidays as students took part in a special ballet session, learning elegant movements inspired by winter classics.

  • The Photo Booth: Armed with props, Santa hats, and reindeer ears, friends gathered to snap silly and sweet photos to remember the day.

  • Reindeer Games: Our Secondary Student Council teamed up with parent volunteers to organise high-energy games that kept everyone active and laughing.

The ICS Community

None of this would have been possible without the incredible transformation of our school grounds. A massive shout-out to Ms. Schwartz and her dedicated team of parent volunteers! They spent weeks handcrafting amazing decorations and props that turned our everyday classrooms into a real-life North Pole.

We also want to thank Mr. Boucher for his "man of many talents" approach to coordinating the Secondary students and supporting the choir.

It was a truly festive day that put every student and staff member in the holiday mood. We are so proud of our students' performances and grateful for the community spirit that made today so special.
