Paris MUN Conference 2025
Our DP 1 student Emma received the prestigious title of Best Delegate at the MUN conference.
Our students recently participated in the Paris Model United Nations (MUN) Conference 2025, an event that continues to exemplify the International Baccalaureate (IB) ethos of global citizenship, diplomacy, and critical thinking. This prestigious gathering provided a unique platform for our students to refine their skills in public speaking, research, negotiation, and debate while tackling some of the world’s most pressing issues.
This year, our delegation represented a diverse array of countries, engaging in stimulating discussions on topics such as climate change adaptation, cybersecurity governance, and international refugee policies. One of the highlights of the conference was our delegation’s exceptional performance, particularly by the student representing Japan, whose well-researched resolution paper was successfully passed after thorough debate and negotiation. This achievement showcased their ability to present compelling arguments and collaborate effectively with peers from different cultural backgrounds.
The conference commenced with an inspiring keynote address delivered by distinguished diplomats and ambassadors, offering students valuable insights into international relations and real-world policymaking. These interactions served as an enriching experience, equipping students with practical knowledge and motivation for future endeavors in global diplomacy.
Throughout the event, our students actively participated in committee sessions, demonstrating their proficiency in argumentation and critical analysis. The culmination of the conference saw the recognition of outstanding delegates, with our student Emma from Grade 11 receiving the prestigious title of Best Delegate. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to her for this well-deserved honor. Additionally, the delegations representing South Africa and Canada received honorable mentions, while the United Kingdom was recognized for Best Diplomacy.
Beyond the accolades, all participating students benefited immensely from this global forum, engaging in meaningful discussions and forging international friendships. Their active involvement is a testament to our school’s commitment to nurturing internationally-minded individuals who are well-equipped to address contemporary global challenges. We are incredibly proud of their achievements and look forward to their continued success in future MUN conferences.
