Globeducate Global Olympics 2025

Held from 16th to 20th June, the event brought together students from across Europe for five unforgettable days of sport, cultural exchange, and global friendship. From the grand Opening Ceremony at the University of Bath’s elite athletics stadium, to high-energy competitions across Stonar’s outstanding sports facilities, the week captured the spirit of unity, sportsmanship, and international collaboration that defines the Globeducate community.

This year’s Olympics featured a unique format: mixed teams, carefully formed from different schools and nationalities, which encouraged students to form bonds beyond their own teams. Our students were warmly welcomed by Stonar’s boarding students, who hosted them on campus, offering them a chance to experience life at a UK boarding school and connect more deeply with peers from across the network.

 

 

 

We are thrilled to share that ICS Paris students excelled throughout the event, with standout performances in several sports:

• 🥇 Aarav took home four 1st place victories, demonstrating extraordinary talent and determination.

• 🥇 Matei delivered powerful performances, earning 1st and 2nd place finishes.

• 🥉 Mia achieved a well-deserved 3rd place, showing great resilience and team spirit.

• 🥇 Joao amazed us all by securing 1st place in three different events.

Congratulations to all of them! Their hard work, sportsmanship, and enthusiasm made us incredibly proud.

Beyond the competition, our students had the chance to form lasting friendships, explore British culture, and take part in a vibrant international community. As Mia put it: “It’s been such a special week — I’ve made friends from all over Europe and pushed myself in new ways I didn’t think possible.”

The Closing Ceremony was a beautiful celebration of all that had been achieved, featuring Stonar’s own horses, an original play about the school’s origins, and a specially-composed song that brought the entire audience together.

The Globeducate Global Olympics is more than a sporting event — it’s a celebration of what unites us as global citizens. At ICS Paris, we are proud to be part of this forward-thinking network that empowers our students to collaborate across borders and grow as future leaders.
