ICS Paris Welcomes Geert Simons as New Head of School

ICS Paris Welcomes Geert Simons as New Head of School

Geert brings almost thirty years of experience in international education and school leadership across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Originally from Belgium, he has built a career around schools where academic excellence, personal growth, leadership, and character formation go hand in hand.

Before joining ICS Paris, he served as Director-CEO of St Andrew's School, Turi in Kenya — Africa's leading international boarding school — and has previously led schools and educational organisations in the Netherlands, the United Arab Emirates, and Kenya.

Geert is passionate about developing confident, compassionate, and courageous young people. His leadership philosophy, "Channelling Passion into Purpose," centres on helping students, parents, and staff discover their strengths and use their talents in service of others.

He will work alongside a strong and committed Senior Leadership Team, including Imad Nassoura, Head of Secondary, and Mark Paxton, Head of Primary.

Farewell to  Angela Hollington

Geert's appointment follows five years of dedicated leadership from Angela Hollington, whose tenure saw ICS Paris achieve IB World School status, gain recognition as a NEASC Candidate School, and strengthen its commitment to multilingualism by becoming a BML School. These milestones reflect the strength and ambition of the ICS Paris community and have positioned the school firmly for future growth. The school extends its sincere thanks to Angela for her contribution.

ICS Paris looks forward to welcoming Geert and his family to the community.
