ICS Paris took part in the Globeducate Robotics Challenge 2026, an international STEAM event hosted in Paris and run in a hybrid format with schools from several countries. Inspired by Roland-Garros, the competition featured LEGO™ Spike robotics missions where students applied coding, problem-solving, and teamwork skills. The event highlighted collaboration, innovation, and student leadership, with participants also taking on refereeing roles, and concluded with an awards ceremony celebrating all teams.
ICS Paris was proud to take part in the Globeducate Robotics Challenge 2026, the fifth edition of this international STEAM event bringing together students from across the Globeducate network to collaborate, innovate, and showcase their robotics and coding skills.
This year’s challenge took place on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, hosted at Collège EIB Monceau in Paris, with a hybrid format allowing schools from France, Spain, Italy, Morocco, and Canada to participate either in person or remotely. This international collaboration gave students the opportunity to connect, exchange ideas, and work together in a truly global learning environment.
The event was inspired by the world of Roland-Garros, the iconic Parisian tennis tournament. This sporting theme set the tone for the day, with teams tackling a series of robotics missions designed around a themed game mat. Using LEGO™ Spike robots, students were challenged to apply their coding, logic, and problem-solving skills to complete increasingly complex tasks with precision and creativity.
Students competed across primary, middle school, and high school categories, demonstrating strong teamwork, resilience, and adaptability throughout the day. In addition to competing, students also took on refereeing roles, showing responsibility and professionalism while helping ensure the smooth running of the challenge both onsite and remotely.
The competition highlighted the importance of STEAM education and the value of learning through hands-on experience. Beyond technical skills, students developed communication, collaboration, and critical thinking abilities in a fast-paced and international context.
The day concluded with an awards ceremony celebrating the dedication, creativity, and perseverance of all participants. A special thank you goes to the teachers, coordinators, referees, and organisers whose commitment made the event a success.
