Globeducate Reads 2026

Globeducate Reads 2026

What an incredible day it has been here at school! Today we celebrated Globeducate Reads Day 2026 — a truly special occasion that brought our entire school community together through the magic of books, storytelling, and the shared joy of reading.

The Book Character Parade

A highlight of the day was undoubtedly the Book Character Parade for our Primary School students. Children arrived dressed as their most-loved literary characters, bringing to life a colourful and creative cast from the pages of their favourite books. The excitement and imagination on display was truly heart-warming, and the effort that went into each costume was something to behold! Alongside the parade, our Primary students enjoyed a range of specially organised activities designed to make reading fun, interactive, and memorable.

A Whole-School Celebration

What made today so special was that it truly was a whole-school event. Students from every year group, together with their teachers and staff, took part in activities, discussions, and shared reading moments throughout the day. Whether exploring a new novel, revisiting a beloved classic, or simply sharing a favourite story with a friend, every member of our community had a role to play.

This sense of togetherness is at the very heart of Globeducate Reads Day. When an entire school community comes together to celebrate reading, it sends a powerful message to our young learners — that books matter, that stories matter, and that literacy is something worth celebrating. Initiatives like today play a vital role in inspiring a genuine love of reading, strengthening comprehension and vocabulary, and raising the overall level of literacy across our school.
