Globeducate MUN 2025

Globeducate MUN 2025

March 11th - 14th, Valencia, SPAIN.

Students from Globeducate schools around the world gathered in Valencia, Spain, for the Globeducate Model United Nations 2025 (MUN), an event that continues to inspire young leaders to address global challenges.

Over several days, students stepped into the roles of United Nations delegates, engaging in intense debates and diplomatic negotiations on some of the most pressing issues of our time.

The conference was structured into several key committees, each focusing on different international concerns:

  • Disarmament Committee: Delegates tackled the regulation of emerging military technologies, including artificial intelligence in warfare, and debated the ethical implications of space defense systems.

  • General Assembly: Discussions centered on pressing territorial disputes, such as those in the Arctic region, and explored international responses to global migration patterns.

  • Environmental Commission: Students examined the urgent need to transition to renewable energy sources and the exploitation of natural resources in developing nations.

  • Economic and Social Council: Delegates explored ways to harness digital innovation to enhance education and address the financial struggles of heavily indebted nations.

  • Security Council: The focus was on mediating global conflicts, including the situation in Yemen and the evolving geopolitical landscape in Eastern Europe.

  • Commission on Human Rights: Topics included ensuring the rights and protection of displaced communities and equitable access to healthcare, including pandemic preparedness.

Recognizing Excellence
We are proud to celebrate the achievements of our talented students. This year, Sophia Martinez was awarded the Best Delegate Award for her outstanding contributions to debate and diplomacy. Additionally, Arjun Patel received an Honourable Mention for his exceptional leadership and negotiation skills.

A Platform for Global Engagement
The Globeducate MUN 2025 was more than just a competition—it was a learning experience that encouraged students to think critically, develop public speaking confidence, and collaborate with peers from diverse backgrounds. This initiative aligns with the IB’s mission to nurture globally-minded individuals ready to tackle the complexities of an interconnected world.

Congratulations to all participants for making this year's MUN a remarkable success! We look forward to another year of insightful discussions and impactful resolutions at Globeducate MUN 2026.
