Celebrating Chinese New Year at ICS Paris

Students from across our community came together to don a magnificent dragon costume and travel from classroom to classroom, bringing the energy, color, and joy of the Lunar New Year celebration to every corner of our school. From the youngest learners to our oldest students, each visit was met with wonder, laughter, and curiosity.

The halls of ICS Paris came alive this week as we celebrated Chinese New Year in a truly special way — one that perfectly captures the spirit of who we are as a school.

What made this moment so meaningful was not just the celebration itself, but who was inside that dragon costume. At ICS Paris, we are proud to be home to over 70 nationalities — and students from all different backgrounds and cultures eagerly stepped up to be part of the dragon, to carry a tradition that may not be their own, but that they embraced with pride and enthusiasm. That is the ICS Paris spirit.

Chinese New Year is a celebration rich in history, symbolism, and joy. By bringing it to life within our school community, we gave our students the chance to move beyond simply reading about another culture — they experienced it, they embodied it, and they celebrated it together.

This is what we believe education looks like at ICS Paris: going beyond the classroom walls, fostering curiosity about the world, and giving our students genuine opportunities to learn from one another. With more than 70 nationalities represented in our community, every day is an opportunity to discover, share, and grow.

We are incredibly proud of our students, our families, and the vibrant international community that makes ICS Paris so unique. Moments like these remind us why we do what we do.

新年快乐 — Happy New Year to all! 🧧
