People of ICS Paris: Spotlight on alumni Bernardo Jativa

Brilliant former student at ICS Paris, Bernardo Jativa graduated from our school in 2011.

Since then, he was a Graduate of Harvard Business School, Richmond University and Sciences Po.

He accepted to share his experience on ICS Paris and the diploma programme:

The IB program at ICS Paris was invaluable in helping form my academic, professional, and personal character.

Academically, the rigor of the curriculum and high quality of teaching favorably positioned me to obtain a full merit-based scholarship at the University of Richmond, fast-track entrance into higher-level courses as a freshman, and refine the organizational skills requisite to excel inside the classroom while pursuing extracurricular engagements, like teaching French, volunteering locally, and participating in a faith community.

Professionally, the inquiring spirit and critical thinking approaches inculcated by great educators constituted the seminal foundation to nowadays be capable to deeply analyze business cases for Fortune 500 global corporations and middle-market private equity funds as a strategy consultant.

Personally, the values-based grounding and international orientation of the IB philosophy have always helped circumscribe decisions within a framework of principle and morality as well as appreciate the unity to be found within diversity. As such, the IB transcends traditional skills learning and truly becomes a school of life.
