FAQ

An application fee of 750 euros will be requested for the start of the school year in September 2026.

Every child is accepted based on their application which generally includes past years’ school reports and recommendations from current teachers. Once a completed file is received, we will come back to you in a maximum of two weeks. If your child is accepted, we will give you a certain time to get back to us and let us know that you’ve accepted the space at our international school ICS Paris. We are able to accept students during the course of the year dependent on available space.

We do not offer any financial aid. We are able to offer discounts for families with at least three children enrolled.

We do not have any entrance exams as part of our application process. Accepted students from Grades 6-10 will simply take English and French placement tests upon arrival at our international school in Paris which allow us to place them in the right level for language classes.

At ICS Paris international school, we follow the American system in labeling our class levels. We start at Nursery and go to Grade 12. For instance: Grade 1 at ICS Paris in the American school system = Year 2 in the British school system = CP in the French school system. Please consult our grade equivalency chart for the full list.

As our students graduate with an International Baccalaureate diploma, the doors to universities worldwide are opened to them. About half of our students go to North America integrating four-year universities, including Ivy Leagues. About one third tend to stay in Europe, choosing English-language programs in the UK or The Netherlands, or even in France. The other third continue their studies at prestigious universities in their home countries. The IB diploma is recognized worldwide. We have two university counselors on campus who will help your child with the entire university application process. They also organize many university visits to ICS Paris international school throughout the school year.

We are able to accept English beginners from Nursery school to Grade 9. International pre-school students are in full English immersion in their classes without the need for extra language support. Students from Grade 1-9 who do not have the necessary level to follow all of their classes in English are able to join additional English classes with 5-10 lessons per week. Students from Grade 10 must be proficient enough in English to be able to follow their courses.

English is the language of instruction at our international school ICS Paris; however, all students learn French according to their own level from beginner to Francophone.

All of our students take French lessons at ICS Paris international school, and in Grades 6-10, students are able to take Spanish, Korean or Japanese for beginners. We also offer Korean and Japanese classes for native speakers.

Students from Nursery to Grade 9 begin at 8.45 am and finish at 4 pm. We do have a half-day on Wednesdays when students are dismissed at 12.30 pm. Pupils from Grades 10-12 follow their individual timetables with classes taking place from 8.45 am to 6 pm. Those students may have days where they begin later than 8.45 am and days where they finish earlier than 6 pm, depending on their course choices.

Indeed we do. We find that it helps create a sense of community our international school in Paris. Boys and girls in all grades wear a white shirt with dark blue pants or skirts. We work with an outside uniform provider.

Students from Nursery to Grade 12 may bring their own food (we have microwaves they may use), or they may eat at the hot lunch canteen. International pre-school and primary students have an obligatory lunch box fee which covers supervision at lunchtime. Students from grade 6-10 may also purchase sandwiches, salads, snacks etc from our snack bar. Additionally, students from Grade 8 may leave campus for lunch with parental permission.

At ICS Paris, students from Kindergarten to Grade 10 go to Aquaboulevard for their sports lessons. It is a big gym and water park located about 10 minutes from our international school in Paris. They will have different sports units throughout the year, including swimming. Nursery and Pre-Kindergarten (pre-k) students have their sports time at our international school in Paris. Outside of school, many students choose to do competitive sports with clubs in Paris.

We offer a variety of after-school activities for students from Grades 1-10. They generally include golf, tennis, martial arts, computer programing, theater and extra language or music lessons. Other activities may be included in the school day like our student council, yearbook, or Model UN. You can learn more about the after-school activities we propose at our international school ICS Paris by checking our page dedicated to our extracurricular activities
